Meaningful

If you are like me I want to finish the year in a bang and be thankful for what I have achieved. In my own eyes sometimes I don’t feel like I have done much but when I hear of what my family and friends appreciate about me I know I have done much. So as you tie off your threads for the year look around you and do something out of the ordinary for your friend or family. In short I am saying end this year with a bang and do something meaningful to another person and that will add joy and fulfillment than you have ever seen.
In poetry I will probably say this
There is more meaning to life when you give
Meaningful time and energy to a friend
It is what you do to your family that will make them know you
You may try to say I love you my daughter
But she will not know it until you do an act of love
You can say to a son I love you
But if you miss his football game
He may not even think you mean it
Your toddler will love you more for telling a bed time story
Than when you leave the house for any other errands
A friend will remember you were the only one on his or her beside
When he/she was sick and needed help to get up
She will remember a fruit arrangement that came on time
When she could not cut and peel a cantaloupe
A stranger will be thankful for your kindness
All this takes a heart that wants to add meaning
To a day that belongs to you but with love you give it away

walk in victory

I walk in victory, I smile and laugh at the roar of sadness My inner person understands I am more than what meets the eye I am this and so much more Love joy and peace have won my heart Thus I am not moved by this thorn in my flesh Because I know I have a future and a hope I will see tomorrow with newness and great expectations My hope shall not be deffered I walk in victory. I am the face of a winner.

Thanksgiving

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5v18 (King James Version) If the heart is thankful, giving thanks is not hard but if there are seeds of ungratefulness it will be hard for you to give thanks. You may say what is there in my life that I can thank him for, let me say just a few, the fact that you woke up this morning and you still have your breathe that alone is a miracle to thank him for; life is a great gift you can never be able to repay. Thank him that you are in your right mind, in good health, with a place to lay your head etc. You are blessed and if you are thankful you will not be discouraged. Thankful people are always filled with goodness and loaded with benefits. It is a Thanksgiving day, think of all he did for you this year … if you make a list or get out your journal, you will be amazed at his goodness. Your year might have been filled with thorns but I know that even roses do have thorns but when you ge...

Smile!

O what an Ah-ha! moment to remember it doesn’t cost me anything to smile. Sadness melted away when I smiled and the sunshine beamed on my soul and my spirit was lifted up and I began to soar higher and higher. Elevated now I can see how much attitude is keeping me on this platform with a bird’s eye view the mountains that were humongous in the valley are tiny rocks, the river that was flooding on me have become like a creeping creek. There is a gold mine of strength in a happy countenance, grace, peace and life. A merry heart is the medicine for all times. This is what I have said, but hear what the wisest man that ever lived has to say in proverbs. Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? At all cost I will have a merry heart, a...
