Making Crucial Decisions

While common sense is not common we can still have the access to be wiser. In decision making you want to count your cost, make up your mind, align your heart and spirit and be sure you know what you are committing yourself to. There are decisions that are so crucial, like following Jesus, you know once you begin you carry your cross and follow him no turning back, no matter what. Choosing that you don’t want to turn back before you get the opportunity to turn back will brace you up for the storm. Daniel 1v 8 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” Daniel had purposed in his heart not to defile himself so when the opportunity came for him to drink wine he was reminded and knew he needed to ask for a special provision. He requested for it because his mind was already made up. His decision was not shaky. I believe we can have this flow to all our decision making process. Have an anchor where you can hold when the storm hits. I know sometimes life gets you to a place where you are faced with other people’s decisions and choices but if you decide, to purposely please God no matter what; you will get ahead in life without hurting yourself or a host of other people, your life will be graceful, filled with wisdom and excellence and you will be celebrated.

Thanksgiving

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5v18 (King James Version) If the heart is thankful, giving thanks is not hard but if there are seeds of ungratefulness it will be hard for you to give thanks. You may say what is there in my life that I can thank him for, let me say just a few, the fact that you woke up this morning and you still have your breathe that alone is a miracle to thank him for; life is a great gift you can never be able to repay. Thank him that you are in your right mind, in good health, with a place to lay your head etc. You are blessed and if you are thankful you will not be discouraged. Thankful people are always filled with goodness and loaded with benefits. It is a Thanksgiving day, think of all he did for you this year … if you make a list or get out your journal, you will be amazed at his goodness. Your year might have been filled with thorns but I know that even roses do have thorns but when you ge...

Smile!

O what an Ah-ha! moment to remember it doesn’t cost me anything to smile. Sadness melted away when I smiled and the sunshine beamed on my soul and my spirit was lifted up and I began to soar higher and higher. Elevated now I can see how much attitude is keeping me on this platform with a bird’s eye view the mountains that were humongous in the valley are tiny rocks, the river that was flooding on me have become like a creeping creek. There is a gold mine of strength in a happy countenance, grace, peace and life. A merry heart is the medicine for all times. This is what I have said, but hear what the wisest man that ever lived has to say in proverbs. Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? At all cost I will have a merry heart, a...
