Dreamers

As you end this year lets look into the future. Put the failures and the disappointments of yesterday behind. I urge you to dream big because I believe that in 2010 your mission can be accomplished. The impossible mission can be possible. Madeline Ndambakuwa said: Dreamers dream; the beauty of the truth of the dreams they behold. Please, read this poem published in my book "Twinkles of Dawn" The Dreamer Here comes the Dreamer, Riding on a horse called believing, A triple encounter, reception, conception, and the birthing of the dream; He feeds daily on the change he can make, The dreamer has seen the day, And set his goals. He joyfully embraces the picture, And sees the dream from afar, He lives his dream in the now, And he has a direct plan. With passion he leaps into the future, He has a deep conviction, And is fully persuaded, That the dream is true and attainable; His hope makes it alive each day, He will not quit until the dream is born. The dreamer relentlessly pursues

Faith and Action

Faith and action is the way to go Faith without works is dead You have to step out and do something practical Faith and action will get you your miracle Confession and faith brought you to salvation But it requires faith and action to go forward It is action that makes you to change to the next level Believe and act on what you believe Then let your mouth and your action comply with your faith And when he sees your action and faith he will do it for you That’s great faith!

Prayer

Recently I have had a lot of time in my hands where I can not do anything but rest as I recuperate and this is what I have found about prayer as I seek to come to a level of maturity. On the other hand I am also seeing that my big dream can not balance on a shallow prayer life. If you have ever seen anything beyond your reach you probably feel me. There times in life where you just have to learn the art of shooting from your knees and follow through for a score. Prayer is just so easy, yet so hard to find the discipline to stick with it. I wonder how much mess we could miss if only we prayed and cover our lives. Prayer is in deed a powerful force that changes the cause of events and a person that has learned to pray can calm the sea like Jesus and man like John Wesley. Prayer is like confidently talking to a friend that you trust so much and you know once you have spoken, it will be followed by action. Prayer is like your spiritual gauge, the more you pray, the more you draw closer to

Check your Tank.

Everyday life confronts us with new challenges that need to be solved, and this demands wisdom to judge right.Wisdom will cause your path to shine and your challenges can not stand a chance with wisdom. Solomon was right when you think of it that wisdom is truly the principal thing. Men of wisdom seek knowledge and understanding and they know ignorance is darkness and in the dark you can stumble and the results are catastrophic. We check our gas tank because we don't want to run out of fuel half the journey and our mileage forces us to go for an oil change but have you checked your tank of wisdom today. The mileage you have covered will tell you that you need to seek for more wisdom. If you are in doubt chances are you are running low because you definitely need wisdom daily. Think about it.

Not too late!

It is not too late to bounce back into the ring Seeing yourself freely soaring in the sky Forgetting those things that are behind Looking forward with great expectation Forgiving and living to accomplish your purpose Embracing each day with excitement Building upon each day monuments of grace Strong towers of peace and joy Making every day a miracle granted to you Another chance to shine and smile It is not too late, it is not too hard You are able to handle it all And the victor in you is your witness Whispering, "There is more to this…" You’re divinely orchestrated for this moment Arise and shine, it’s not too late Tomorrow I may say nothing So hear me today, you can do it again…!

Rest

It takes a while to see It takes time to hear Because we usually want to do it on the surface We want to just look and not perceive And we want to hear but not understand So we look at a man doing well outwardly And we think he has got it all figured out We hear a woman laughing but we don’t understand her cry We look at the multitudes of people And we think they are doing fine But we do not perceive they are fainting But I know the only one that sees through it all He is faithful and he invites you to lay your To fall in his arms when you are weary and heavy laden And he will give you rest from all your labor He sees and he perceives all you need He hears and he under stands And his name is Jesus You can surrender it all to him He will see you through Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matt11v28

The Race

I may be faint and weak in my body But I will not let it get into my mind Not in my spirit because I know I must win my race I will stay in the race Though I may look like I am about to curve me in Even when I fall, I will not fail I am committed to this race because I won’t have a re-run I am in this race for my life; I will not stop for gossip My heart will not doubt, I live by faith, I believe And I am running the race with patients I have the strength for each day, one day at a time I will not loose what I have for nothing Not over a cigarette, sex, beer… Oh no the list is too long I got to run my race, I can’t give up now I can’t waste my tears over that foolishness of yesterday I shall not look down, I will look up I have great witnesses of many that made it over in this race I got a testimony, I don’t need any proof I got a witness that I have a friend that sticks closer than a brother I was on the verge, and it looked like I was done The doctors said I wouldn’t make it But I am

Discipline

I like discipline in all its areas and meaning. A disciplined person is a treasure to have, because no matter where you put them they can emerge out with a graceful composure. If you put a disciplined person under pressure the results can match their discipline. We all know people in our time like General Colin Powell (according to me he is one of America’s great leaders) who has modeled great discipline not just in the army but as Secretary of State and in his daily activities and just from what he has shown us in leadership we know it did not happen over night. People like Leonardo, Mozart, Michelangelo great masters in their fields, they practiced, learned good principles, they did not slack in their studies; they did everything they new to do, they reinforced it again and again until they got the process and had a pattern to bring out the results that made them great masters. Discipline is a word that many people don’t want to hear but maybe today you can consider this reminder an

Meaningful

If you are like me I want to finish the year in a bang and be thankful for what I have achieved. In my own eyes sometimes I don’t feel like I have done much but when I hear of what my family and friends appreciate about me I know I have done much. So as you tie off your threads for the year look around you and do something out of the ordinary for your friend or family. In short I am saying end this year with a bang and do something meaningful to another person and that will add joy and fulfillment than you have ever seen. In poetry I will probably say this There is more meaning to life when you give Meaningful time and energy to a friend It is what you do to your family that will make them know you You may try to say I love you my daughter But she will not know it until you do an act of love You can say to a son I love you But if you miss his football game He may not even think you mean it Your toddler will love you more for telling a bed time story Than when you leave the house for an

Believe

The only thing I know how to do is believe. When my road gets thick, And the forest gets dark and the sun sets on me. The only thing I know to do is believe Believe that it will get better Believe that the sun will shine again Believe I can dream and it will come to pass I raise up my faith and fuel it with an unfeigned hope Knowing that hope will not make me ashamed And when I believe I can smile and laugh In the midst of no where I can rejoice With a body that is full of fatigue And unbalanced ground levels if I can believe The impossible will be possible And I can as well take out the word impossible out of my mouth Because I believe; I can mount up higher I can soar with eagles and fly high in the sky Because I believe, I can move mountains with faith Ye I believe, that's the only thing I know I can do And no one can take it away from me Yes I believe; I believe, I believe!

Time to Change

It is always fascinating for me how time flys and another year will come and go so easy just like a passing shadow. There is not much to show for the time you spent if you don’t use your time wisely. My grandfather taught me that,” Procrastination is a thief of time and it will lead you to the city of never.” As the year, month or each day come to a close examine your use of time. Take note of the things you have put aside, but you could have done them, think about the opportunities you missed. I know you can not buy back your time but if you have another day or another year you can change and make your time profitable to you and to those that are around you.

“Kindness”

“Be kind to strangers”, my mother told me. “You never know who some one is until you know them.” I used to think that was just my mama teaching me kindness, least did I know that today I would meet the most mean person I have ever met. This man did not care who I was, it felt like he was treating me like some unwanted basement mouse. What helped me was I am comfortable in my skin and within I was standing tall, outwardly I was dressed professionally in one of my power suits. I am well groomed, so I knew how to hold my reigns; while my mind was working and I thought in the old days in the village, elders used to teach children to treat strangers with all honor and respect because they assumed a stranger might be an angel visiting. If I was an angel carrying a blessing I would have definitely withheld it from this man. Isn’t it surprising that in our world today we have mastered networking to some extend but there are some professionals who feel like they own the whole world when they a

Smile!

O what an Ah-ha! moment to remember it doesn’t cost me anything to smile. Sadness melted away when I smiled and the sunshine beamed on my soul and my spirit was lifted up and I began to soar higher and higher. Elevated now I can see how much attitude is keeping me on this platform with a bird’s eye view the mountains that were humongous in the valley are tiny rocks, the river that was flooding on me have become like a creeping creek. There is a gold mine of strength in a happy countenance, grace, peace and life. A merry heart is the medicine for all times. This is what I have said, but hear what the wisest man that ever lived has to say in proverbs. Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? At all cost I will have a merry heart, a

Thanksgiving

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5v18 (King James Version) If the heart is thankful, giving thanks is not hard but if there are seeds of ungratefulness it will be hard for you to give thanks. You may say what is there in my life that I can thank him for, let me say just a few, the fact that you woke up this morning and you still have your breathe that alone is a miracle to thank him for; life is a great gift you can never be able to repay. Thank him that you are in your right mind, in good health, with a place to lay your head etc. You are blessed and if you are thankful you will not be discouraged. Thankful people are always filled with goodness and loaded with benefits. It is a Thanksgiving day, think of all he did for you this year … if you make a list or get out your journal, you will be amazed at his goodness. Your year might have been filled with thorns but I know that even roses do have thorns but when you ge

Don’t Dig Your Own Grave.

I walked a long distance after having a major surgery and then the following days were marked with a lot of pain of which I realized I had pushed myself into it. Then as I was musing I saw a different picture of a daily routine that a man can inflict himself and walk or run a distance way off than it’s expected of him and at the end of the day over burden or over work himself to his death or to a place that will take him longer to recover. As you work each day make every day a master piece but work with wisdom, do not depend solely on your physical strength. Spreading yourself too thin and overworking will just help you dig your own grave. Honestly what will it help you to spend all your time at work and not enjoy your family or life if you are single? If you spread yourself too thin no one will really feel your influence. If you give a minute to your wife another to a sister and so on; reaching 24 people assuming you give yourself a minute to sleep I tell you that everyone includin

Faithful

Did you know that God is faithful even in the small things that we take for granted; He is faithful. There is no day that we woke up and discover that God had forgotten to light the world, there are days you forgot to pray or you just did not know how to pray but he still came to your rescue when you gave him a desperate call. Can you see that he is faithful. Whether you have done anything on your part or you haven’t he remains faithful. How beautiful it will be if we all could be faithful, I believe that if we are truly faithful then the king will pull out his records of your faithfulness and ask like the king in the book of Esther, who had to find out if anything good was done to the man Mordecai who had been faithful to serve his life. I like the fact that the books of records were opened and this man was found worth to be honored and his situation was turned around. Can you take a minute to think on how God has been faithful to you and then toss the coin and think of how you have b

He is Real

I was listening to a song and the choir was singing “He is Real” And then I thought how often we forget that God is a real, real God. He wants to touch your life where you are aching, he wants to provide for all your needs and He wants to exalt you beyond measure. Can you imagine that He is the God that loved us so much that, “He did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things.” Romans8v32 Think of it, is there anything that God can withhold from you? So why don’t you hope for more, believe God and raise up your faith knowing that Jesus is your hope of glory and God will not with-hold any good thing from you. That’s why today you can’t give up on anything. I ask you never to quit but obtain an unquenchable hope that will release faith in you and you can receive all you want. Never take no for an answer, refuse to be refused. Peace perfect peace to you. Shalom!

Friendly

I got a deeper understanding today that it is worthy it, to be friendly and kind. For real it pays to be friendly you will not go without a friend. I mean a real friend; a friend when you are in need is a friend indeed. I know it is more blessed to give than to receive but today I was refreshed by a friend who reminded me how much I have been there for him and his family, a friend that called and told me how much she loves me, another that emailed and said I am praying for you, a sister that told me how much she cares, a brother that reminded me I can not be subdued, a dad and mum that said we got your back, Jesus who is interceding for me daily the list has no end all these are my friends that I have been friendly to, with joy and peace I can smile and say I want to be always friendly. Will you?

Today's Lesson from the Poet Series2

“A Slam-dunk” There is a basket of strength that I tap into but I must keep it full, because it does not function well half full. I learned to maximize my strength. I looked around and gathered up myself because when I am weak I am strong, my weaknesses were turned around in the face of adversity, I faced every threat with tenacity and I focused my ball into my basket of strength. I was shooting from my knees and I followed through with my hand in cheerful praise launching out the greatest opportunities that have never been visible to me. It was an ease victory after all…2 Corinthians 12:9 (King James Version)And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Today's Lesson from the Poet Series1

“An Unexpected Day” I woke up this morning feeling pretty fine, least did I know what my day held. It was a regular routine to the doctor’s office but I ended up in an image tunnel, they called it a CT scan. The diagnosis brought a totally new landscape of my schedule; in short I am scheduled for an immediate surgery. O how life can twist in a moment. When the news was broken in my ears, all I could say was, “I know God has a perfect plan for me, I know he thinks good towards me, I know he has been good to me and with him all things are possible to them that believe”. I lifted up my voice of faith like a mighty shield and began to confess; “It is well with me, it is well, it is well! I will stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.” This was the reason my blog was not updated for a while but now I am recovering all is well, all is well. I believe you will learn something from these daily postings that no matter what the day brings for you can afford to relax if you trust God beca

Creativity

Creativity is fascinating to me, imagine taking an idea and shaping it into a tangible thing. Curving a stone into a huge human figure, depicting a landscape that can be recognized, drawing a portrait that is life like that is amazing to me. Molding words and threading them into a thrilling story or movie. I have never seized to wonder at the many things we create including buildings, computers and all the other things in between, I am acknowledging that the must be within us a creating power from a Sovereign Creator I want to believe we are all indebted to him. I hope each one of us will harness this power to make our world richer and more beautiful.

What is poetry to me?

What poetry is to me--------poetry is a revelation, well I don’t mean to be religious here so in simple terms, it is a surprising understanding of a matter that has been disclosed to you. A moment of an epiphany where you can honestly say, Wow I see. So for me it is not just an open statement of the emotions and feeling of what I have gone through or I have witnessed another person go through but in the tranquility after the storm I have an answer. I understand the truth. So it becomes a story or a message that is not a complaint but an answer. It becomes creativity, just like Archimedes I could openly say, Eureka! “I have found it.” And so did Newton and Einstein. Creativity is madness anywhere. King David and Solomon are the greatest poets that I have learned to appreciate. I like their adventures. You can experience David the shepherd, warrior, king and worshiper with distinct emotions. Even when he has sinned against God you can walk with him in his journey and feel for him but mos

Healing for My Sououl

I have walked in the garden of life and I have encountered many things but among the few that are imprinted in my heart are moments where I have experienced healing for my soul. Times of refreshing and times of divine empowerment. Please listen to this poem and be blessed. Click on my profile to listen and critic this poem. Be blessed

precious moments

This is a precious moment for every mother and child. And this poem is for every precious Mother in all the word. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ito-6UJRVLQ&feature=PlayList&p=3DF78EAC81243A20&index=0&playnext=1
Just continuing from where I left last time. I believe poetry is so pure and so true. You know if you have to say all you must say in a few words you will make them as true as ever and acurate so your message can be felt and head. I invite you to visit this link and read a few of my poems. I hope you will love it. Have fun! https://www2.xlibris.com/bookstore/bookdisplay.aspx?bookid=56117
The essence of poetry to me is being a voice of encouragement, healing and hope in the storms of life. In a recession like the one we have I dare to say that we will need someone to lift up our spirits from here and there. And I hope this blog will do just like that. There are people that I can never see or touch but I can speak to them in a few words in the collection of poems that I have written. I believe you are a champion in the making. Just hold on a little longer and you will see it was worthy it, to go through what you went through takes a champion filled with grace and favor.

the poet's perception

It is nice to tell a story in the voice of a poet. It is short and precise. And I want to think that it helps to eliminate too much butter and sugar. I mean all the sweet nothings that we spend our time on. Have you ever had something happen to you or to a friend in a flash and dramatic way, that all you could do was.... Wow! Ah-ah or Ouch! You just expressed exactly how you felt about it as true as you could represent it. Raw and plain. So is life as it happens in the eyes of a poet.....to be continued....
